How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Yakima Gatekeeper, on the back of a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. Let's check it out. So the Gatekeeper is gonna be a five bike carrier, having the five cradles that you're gonna strap your bike down to, to keep it in position. So, officially, what you're gonna do, to attach your bike, you're gonna hook that one end of your cradle to the other, and this is all padded, and then you'll be able to make your adjustment, as far as how tight you would like it to stabilize your bike, using your strap. If you have a bike that you wouldn't wanna make contact with your frame, it definitely wouldn't be the best option. However, it's a really good option, as far as moving multiple bikes, using your pickup without a hitch carrier. more

They're very affordable, they're easy to install, and it doesn't take a whole lot to get going and this one can carry up to five bikes. If you want to carry that many bikes, there aren't really many options out there. There's maybe one or two hitch-mounted racks that can do up to six, but that's not everyone's preferred way to go. more

Hey, it's Ethan from here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Swagman Paramount Seven Bike Tailgate Pad for full size trucks on our 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. Might be a good option for you if you're trying to get up to seven bikes where you're needing to go, but maybe you're towing something or you don't want the added length that a bike rack will add from your hitch, this could be a good option for you. The bike is being held by the frame on these hook and loop straps in the back. You can slide them up and down a little bit to adjust. If you do have a carbon frame bike, we recommend not using a tailgate pad or anything that holds onto it by the frame, 'cause it could potentially be damaged while it's driving. more

Instructor This is the Swagman Paramount Tailgate Pad and we're gonna be taking a look at it on our 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. So this, in my opinion, is the ultimate way to get bikes to and from your destination if you have a truck, just because we don't have anything in here. So you can put a ball mount on there. I have seen a guy have all of these bikes on here, and haul his camper. I think that's pretty neat, just because there's a lot of bike racks that are gonna work for your hitch but not for the back of a travel trailer. So this is really gonna widen it out so you can really do a lot more with your truck. more

Adam: What's going on everybody Adam here with Etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Gatemate on our 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. So as you guys can see, we got our three bikes up on here and we don't really have to worry about scratching our tailgate, or scratching our bikes, just because every part of our bike that is exposed in the back, isn't going to make its way to our precious tailgate. And on top of that, with the material that the Gatemate is made of it isn't going to scratch our carbon fiber bikes. So you don't have to worry about it damaging some of those nicer, prettier bikes. You guys are trying to keep brand new.One thing to note though, with the bikes and this orientation, if you guys do put it in reverse, we are not going to get a full view of the backup camera. more

Hi, everyone, Adam, with etrailer.com, today, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman Patrol Truck Bed Bike Rack on our 2015 Chevy Colorado.At first glance, you can see that it is going to mount to the front fork of your bike. It's going to be able to hold up to four bikes, but two does come with the kit and it is this fork style mount here. It does also come with a thru axle adapter for a 15 millimeter, and you can actually go on etrailer.com and purchase a 20 millimeter thru axle adapter, as well. So this is going to be really great for the Colorado, because a lot of them don't come with a hitch from the factory. So if you don't have an aftermarket hitch and you don't want to buy a roof rack, this is going to be a really economical choice for you.So let me just go ahead and show you how easy it is to get this bike off the rack. We do have this little lever here that clamps down on your forks. more

Today on our 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to do a test fit of the Inno Velo Gripper bike rack for truck beds, part number INRT201. We have a bike already on it. We're going to show you how it's all hooked up. How it is pretty much hooked up, we have a strap around our forks and a strap right here around our seat pole. To disengage it we have a little slot here we just push and to engage it just throw it in there, pull it until it's nice and tight. So we'll go ahead and pull it out. Today on our 2016 Chevorlet Silverado 2500, we're doing a test fit of the Thule Insta-gater Single Truck Bed Bike Rack. That part number is TH501. Now we already have our bike secured down. We're going to first show you how we do that and then well go over how we secure the bike rack to our truck. Here on our rack we have our bike pushed all the way up against the front of our truck bed or our tailgate there. We've got a wheel cradle down here where the bike's just going to sit right in the middle. Then back here in the back we have a wheel hook that's going to loop around the back of it and just kind of hold the bike up against that tailgate. Now to remove our bike, we're going to come over to the hook, push the button here on the end, and we can lift up our hook. more

Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2008 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2008 Chevrolet Silverado we're doing a test-fit of the Thule GateMate Tailgate Pad and Bike Rack, that part number is TH824. This is designed to work with full-sized trucks, so we already have it placed on our vehicle. All we had to do was set it just over the edge here, and make sure that our bumpers on each end are facing up. What that's going to do is prevent anything from sliding off of your tailgate pad. The next thing we'll do is open up our hook and loop cover here, and we're just going to open the tailgate. I find this is the easiest way because I am too short to reach over the top of the tailgate to feed my straps though. I'm just going to straighten my strap out and feed it through underneath into the crack here between the tailgate and the bed of the truck. more

Thule Truck Bed Bike Racks Review - 2010 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Today on our 2010 Chevrolet Silverado we are testing the Thule GateMate Tailgate Pad and bike rack. The part number for this is TH824. We're going to show you how we install it, and then also somethings that we can put on to the padded self. First thing we want to do is set it on our tail gate, and make sure that this pads on the ends are sticking in straight up under our flap here, and because I do have short arms I can't quite reach over the tailgate so how I'm going to feed my straps through is that I'm going to hold the tailgate pad here with my leg or my hip, and I'll straighten out the strap. I'll come around and I'm going to feed it through under the tailgate. If you're a little bit taller you can always just reach over the tailgate and crack the tailgate a little bit. Once you pull that strap through, I'm just going to tack that pad under that bumper there. Take our strap, feed it through the top, and back down through the bottom here, and we want to keep that loose so it's not to tight on there, and i'll fix that under the bumper once I'm done. more

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, we're going to be doing a test fit of this Swagman Pick-Up Truck-Bed-Mounted 2-Bike Carrier. This will be part number S64702. A few things I'm going to go over before we get it up in there. Make sure that you unlock your lock here by simply turning it and making sure it's in the unlock position. You push in and then you'll turn it, so unlock it, and then we'll press on the lever. This will allow us to collapse it like so, and then this will be our tensioner when we get it in the truck. more

Today, on our 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, well be test fitting the Swagman pickup truck, bed-mounted, 2-bike rack, part number s64702. You want to make sure that the bike rack is extended a little bit longer than the distance between your bed rails. Then, well insert the bike rack at an angle, pushing it into position, making sure that the bike rail is perpendicular to the bed rails of our pickup truck.Now, with everything secured and tightened down, were ready to load up our bike. Well go ahead and make sure that our skewer is loose, and then well place our bike onto our truck bed. Yakima BedHead Truck Bed Bike Rack Review - 2005 Chevrolet Silverado- Video
Alright today, on our 2005 Chevrolet 2500HD 8-Foot Bed Pickup Truck, we're going to do a test fit of Yakima part number Y01133 for locking bedhead. Alright, one quick note about this bike carrier is that it does grip to the side of the bed of the truck and you cant use it with bed liners. However, if you would accommodate for it, you may have to cut a hole in for a bed liner. In this case, we dont have a bed liner so it will be very easy to see how it operates. We'll start off by positioning the rail clip and then well put the fork lock in position. Once we have it where we want it, we'll go ahead and tighten it down with the provided Allen key. more

All right today on Chevrolet 2500 HD a foot bed pick up we are going to do a test fit a part number UG2500 this is from top line. Okay well start of bike carrier loss assemble as according instruction will go ahead and put on a rail. Now this will sit on to side rail of the bed. Now the truck didnt have a bed liner you would have to cut whole lot for that to make an accommodation for the rack. This case the truck does not have the bed liner.
